Causes of High Blood Pressure or Hypertension
Primary hypertension: Hypertension in most people does not have an underlying cause. It is caused due to inappropriate diet, lack of exercising or smoking. This common type of hypertension is called the primary hypertension.
Secondary hypertension: Hypertension can be caused due to a cardiovascular disease, kidney disease or thyroid problems. This type of hypertension that is caused due to some other disease, is called the secondary hypertension.
Malignant hypertension: Rarely, some people experience sudden high blood pressure at extreme levels. This can have various causes and can be best understood by the doctor.
