Stop Smoking
Smoking is the biggest enemy of our respiratory system and therefore the overall health. It is also that one can simply choose to keep away from and stay healthy.
Does our body need smoking?
Smoking is not the need of the body. The body has other physical requirements like eating, exercising and so on but smoking does not appear anywhere in that list.
Why does one choose to smoke?
Most often it is the peer pressure. People who cannot do anything better, seek attention by the way of smoking not realizing that this kind of attention is not worth having. Once they get addicted, they start offering cigarettes to other people who do not smoke and make fun of them if they refuse to.
Smart people do not worry about the peer pressures. They are strong from the inside and are able to push back the offers for smoking. They know it would be the worst decision of their life if they decide to smoke – even once. People who have are strong from within know better about staying healthy. They know that smoking is not stylish or the way to go.
When does one realize that it was a bad decision to start smoking?
Only when it is too late. Initially, when one starts smoking, the body fights back the poison that it receives from smoking. Soon the body gives up and smoking becomes addictive. The resistance of the body to fight diseases and infections vanishes and physical strength is no more. The skin gives up its beauty and becomes dark and dry. The lips start looking too dark and wrinkled. It becomes impossible to buy more cigarettes or drugs as the money runs out fast and the addiction pushes one to get more.
This is when the person realizes that it was indeed a bad decision to start or experiment smoking.
By then it is too late. The life span gets cut down by at least ten years. The years that the person gets to live are full of misery and pain and diseases.
What are the effects of smoking?
Smoking of cigarettes or any other drugs is addictive. Once it starts, even on an experimental basis, it catches on and soon the person finds that it is not possible to live without smoking.
Addiction: This is the first bad effect that makes the situation worse.

-
Heart disease
-
Cardiac arrest

Dry and wrinkled skin, an old look even at a young age.
Monetary Problems:
A smoker has to spend thousands of dollars on smoking every year. The health problems lowers the productivity of the person which affects his or her earnings. Lesser earnings topped with smoking costs that only increase by the day soon become a nightmare.

How to keep away from smoking?
-
Do not start. That is the best advice one can heed to. No matter how strong is the peer pressure or how good are your friends who offer cigarettes, you as a person are more important to you and your family. So do not even experiment with smoking thinking you would stop it soon. That never happens.
-
Do not give in to the peer pressure: People who smoke often offer cigarettes to others, not because they are nice, but because they want others to start smoking so that they feel they are not alone. A real friend would never offer cigarettes or drugs to a person who does not smoke. Non smokers are strong from inside and they do not need a thing as small as a cigarettes to boost their image.
-
Keep away from second hand smoking: Keep away from the people who smoke. Second hand smoking is even worse.
